What people are saying about Keep The Table Laughing

Forget your glossy pix and obscure ingredients – this is about aussie mums cooking dinkum food and with plenty of chat about it….Even if you don’t cook, this is a fun read – and a great antidote to the pretentiousness of most cookbooks today.

"The funniest Cooking Book you will ever come across!"

"Keep the Table Laughing" is full of quick, tasty and practical recipes for real people, it is also full of funny anecdotes from the authors making it very entertaining.

…this cookbook …is fun. The recipes are interspersed with narration from the two authors. They share their lives and their culinary experiences through anecdotes, jokes and little scripted conversations. Their comments on men in the kitchen caused particular laughter at our house.

This is a cookbook which will be used and enjoyed. Not a bad combination.

I love it! What a novel idea to write a cook book that is not only full of useful, practical recipes for real people, but funny and entertaining to read! I gave a copy each to my parents and my sister and they immediately sat down and started reading it...I've never seen someone do that with a cookbook before.

I've tried a couple of caramel things (naturally) and they are delicious. At times I laughed out loud by myself in the lounge room reading the comments.

I bought a couple of copies of (your) book for the young women in my family. It was delightful to read and promoted sensible and tasty recipes. I think the girls will be very pleased to get such useful and entertaining presents for Christmas.
